Registering for Miles

We are now registered at Target!! Well, I guess I should say our son, Miles, is registered at Target. All of the goodies are for him! I think Matt really enjoyed picking out things for our little man, especially if it had footballs or baseballs on it. Matt also scanned everything Baby Einstein because, as he says, "Our son is going to be smart!" We had a really good time and got some great advice from some parents in the store on a diaper genie. You can check out our registry at target.com.

More fun pictures from our BIG reveal...

Mimi (Elaine) also took some wonderful pictures at our reveal party, so I decided to post some of those for all to see. Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do!! Thanks to Elaine for these pictures.

These were the BEAUTIFUL flowers Mimi got for our party. We put them on the food table.

Matt and Mimi awaiting the BIG reveal!!

Mimi was pulling for both teams. She said, "I'm on team healthy baby!" I think she was thrilled it's a boy because she knows how to deal with little boys!!

Everyone who attended the party voted on if they thought it was a boy or a girl. In the end, team BLUE won, but there were more girl votes than boy votes.

Once guests cast their votes, they pinned a blue or pink ribbon to their shirt to represent their team. (If you see me with a pink ribbon on my shirt in pictures, that was why!)

Matt was giving "high fives" to everyone after he found out he's having a SON!!

Miles Cooper Cleek it is!!!

We had the big reveal tonight! It is a boy! We couldn't be more excited for our little man to arrive. I think Matt is more excited than I am!! He started crying whenever we realized the cake was blue. Here are some pictures from our fun night. We want to thank Kevin, Erica, Todd, Julie, Janet, Randi and all of our family for coming to share in this excitement with us!!

The cake before we knew it was a boy!! Such a cute and yummy cake.

I was so ready to cut into it!

Here we go....Matt wore pink and blue ties because he was cheering for both genders!

It's....

Boy!!!!

Love this picture! Our reactions are PRICELESS!! I was so sure it was going to be pink inside...and I was pleasantly surprised.

Matt got a gift from my ARKANSAS family. Miles Cooper now has a Tennessee bib and a UT onesie. Thanks, Honey, Bit-O and Uncle Joe.

Preparing for the BIG REVEAL...

We could have found out if we are having a boy or girl at our appointment, but we wanted to share in the excitement with our family and close friends. Therefore, we decided to have a gender revealing party! I took the sealed envelope (gender inside) to a baker. Over the next few days, the baker will bake a cake that will look something like this...

We will cut into the cake to find out the gender of Baby Cleek!! If it is blue...it's a boy and if it is pink...it's a girl. My guess is girl and Matt's guess is boy! Either way we will be very pleased. We are so excited and busy getting everything prepared for the big reveal on Saturday. We are also really grateful to share the excitement with our friends and family. I will post pictures from the party when I get a chance! Stay tuned!!

Baby Cleek is looking good....

We went for our fetal assessment appointment today! That means we got to see our precious little one again. According to the ultrasound technician, all of "Little Bit's" organs are working properly. It has four chambers in its heart, two arms, two legs and a brain. We also got to see its spine! The technician says it now weighs about one pound. I am amazed at how much it has grown over the past few months, and I am only hoping it will continue to grow in my belly. Also, today's heartbeat was at 150 bpm, which is up from last month's visit.

Here are a few pictures of our little one:

This is little bit's face...It has my chin!!

Foot

This profile picture of Little Bit took the longest to get. During our scheduled ultrasound, we tried everything to get this picture. The tech had me turn on my side and I even got up and danced around the bathroom. Nothing seemed to work! Baby was being like Daddy-a little hardhead!! So, we went to see Holly for our appointment and came back up for another ultrasound. This is what we got. Some great pictures of Little Bit's profile. I guess it finally decided to be more like Mommy!

Little Bit gave us a thumb's up.....

and waved hello to us!

Before Matt and I went in to the ultrasound room, I asked the technician to not tell us the gender and put it in a sealed envelope. She said sure and when it came time to find out, she turned off the monitor we couldn't see. I hid Matt's eyes because I knew he would peek. Since our gender reveal party is on Saturday, we still have to wait 2 more days to find out if its a girl or a boy. We are just so happy that our "Little Bit" is looking healthy!! I am so blessed and thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!

In class participation....

Since my wonderful students are so interested in whether I am having a girl or a boy, I decided to let them vote.

Today, I asked them to put their name on a pink letter "G" if they think I am having a girl. Those who think I am having a boy put their name on a blue letter "B". I have more boy votes than girl votes so we shall see. The winners get a special treat when we get back from fall break. I just thought this was a neat way to get them involved. They enjoyed it and so did I!! We will know for sure in about another week.

I actually look pregnant!

I promised belly pictures so I have finally mustered up enough guts to put a few on here!

8 weeks

19 weeks

I am learning to love my new belly. It is just a little weird because I can't button my pants anymore. However, it is ok. My growing baby is inside! I have even felt little bit move over the past few days. It is such an amazing and miraculous feeling. I always wondered how it feels when babies move in their mother's tummy, and now I would not trade that feeling (even the belly) for anything in the world. Matt even got to feel his future son or daughter move. We will find out in less than two weeks what Baby Cleek's gender is. We are getting so excited!

The Books of Madison County

Mimi (Elaine) coordinated an event last Thursday to benefit the Jackson-Madison County Library.  It was titled The Books of Madison County and featured several local artists, a silent auction, tasty food, and good wine (but I had to stay clear of the wine). I am so proud of Mimi on her event! She did such an amazing job getting all of the details together and they raised quite a bit of money for the library. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Mimi recruited us to be volunteers. Julie and I spent most of the night in the library, attempting to get attendees to play the scavenger hunt. We had fun even though most people did not want to play!

Elaine and Brad Douglass (my former co-worker) getting ready for their live shot. Mimi did such a good job on her tv interviews! She's a pro!
