Uncle Trey is Official

On December 13, Uncle Trey was inducted as an officer of the local Mason Lodge. He has been active in the local lodge for a while now and we are so proud of him for becoming an officer.

Miles, Matt, Kina Kina, Mimi, Papa, and Pops all went to his ceremony.

Congrats to Uncle Trey!!! Here are some pictures from his big day.

What a cute couple they are!

Happy Birthday to Daddy and Mommy!

If you have been one of my blog followers for a while, then, you will probably know that Matt and I have birthdays within a day of each other. It is fun to celebrate together, and this year was no different.

We spent Matt's birthday celebrating with family. I cooked him dinner (his favorite-spaghetti and sour cream pound cake). Miles helped him blow out the candles....

Saturday, which was my birthday, Mom, Fairy, Miles, Miller, and I came to CCHS to a breakfast with santa. The boys got to sit in Santa's lap for the first time this holiday season.

Miles and Fairy stopped for a pic while waiting in line to see Santa.

Merry Christmas from the Cleek boys!

After that, we went to my favorite place to eat, HRH Dumplins.

That night we hosted a Tacky Christmas Sweater Birthday Party. Before the party, though, my brother Brandon surprised me with showing up for my party! I was thrilled to have him there.

We had the best time and are so thankful to those who dressed up to come celebrate with us. Here are a few snaps from the party:

I have the COOLEST, most dedicated grandparents on the earth!!

Love my Julie!

Mimi and her girls

Papa and Mimi--thanks for hosting the party!

Trey won tackiest sweater for the guys--it was all Kina Kina's idea and expertise on his sweater!

I won tackiest for the girls.

Aren't we just so tacky?

After the voting and eating, we played a little Christmas trivia.

The guys LOST!

Making a wish...and thankful for another year!

On Sunday, the whole gang--Hidee, JoPa, Uncle Joe, Nan-Nan, Uncle Brandon, Meemaw, Papaw, Fairy, Mimi, Papa, Uncle Trey, Kina Kina, Meemaw Cleek, and Pops--went to NUMC to see Miller get baptized. It was perfect and we were thankful to have all of the support from our family!

Miller wore the same gown as Miles, Uncle Brandon, Uncle Joe, Cica, and I did.

The entire bunch

After the ceremony, we went to Say Grace for lunch.

That night....we were beat, but had a little energy left to play cars with Miles.

It was the perfect birthday weekend. We loved every minute of it!!

All Miles Wants for Christmas.....

is....

Yes, you heard it right! Miles wants a BMW, hot water heater, and a Lexus for Christmas. He also mentioned a garage and a house. I'd love these things, too, Miles!! I hope Santa brings them! :)

Hot water heater? Well, he is obsessed with Mimi and Papa's hot water heater. He used to be scared of it, but Mimi kept telling him it was his friend, in order to keep his apprehension at bay. Well, he is friends with Mr. Hot Water heater now. In fact, the other day, he was in Mimi's garage and said, "Hello Mr. Hot Water heater. My name is Miles. M-I-L-E-S. Nice to meet you."

Every time we are over at Mimi and Papa's, he insists on going outside to see his new friend. He even talks Papa into coming inside to run the hot water, so that Mr. Hot water heater will make a noise.

I don't think I can purchase a toy hot water heater. However, I think I have found an alternative plan. Stay tuned to see what Santa does about this request!!

As for the Lexus and BMW, well, money doesn't grow on trees, but we will see what we can do.

Kina Kina's First Tennessee Game

Carolina is the newest addition to our family. She is dating Matt's brother, Trey. Miles calls her Kina Kina and we adore her to pieces. She is the missing puzzle piece in our jigsaw puzzle.

With that said....she is Brazilian. That means she is used to un-American football, aka soccer. Since the Cleek family is obsessed with football, especially Tennessee football, we had to take her to a Tennessee game. Matt, Trey, Carolina, and I traveled to Nashville to watch Tennessee take on the Vanderbilt Commodores the weekend of Thanksgiving.

Even though it wasn't the best game our volunteers have ever played, it still was interesting for a few reasons.

1. Carolina can whistle louder than anyone I think I've ever heard. She definitely fits in with the crowd.

2. A drunk Vandy fan threw up on Matt during the 1st quarter of the game. Sadly, it was the only sweatshirt he had and he spent the rest of the game freezing. On the bright side, security arrested the guy!

This is a picture of Matt freezing his booty off.

3. We won and became bowl eligible for the first time in what seems like forever! (I think it's been 3 years.)

After the game, we headed out to Downtown Nashville for some fun and food. We ate at Dick's Last Resort, which is the place where the waiters are rude to you on purpose. When you eat there, the waiters make you hats with rude, crude, or funny sayings on them. This is what Matt's said:

It was hilarious to us because if you look at the number 2 reason above...it says it all!!

Once dinner was over, we went to Honky Tonk Central for some dancing and fun!! Trey even ventured out on the dance floor.

All in all, it was an amazing trip. Can't wait to take Kina Kina to her next Tennessee game, which will hopefully be at Neyland Stadium.

A HUGE thanks to Hidee for coming and hanging out with the boys while we had fun in Nashville.

Miller Turned 3 Months....

Almost a month ago! Is it too late to apologize? Mommyhood and English teaching has taken over my life!! I'm not complaining, by any means, but those two things keep me busy. Did I mention that I am trying to train for a half marathon as well as spend time with my sweet husband and keep my house in order? Ok..enough with the excuses....

Miller turned 3 months on November 23. He weighed about 17 pounds.

Here are month 3's milestones:

  • I love to laugh, especially at my big brother.
  • I love it when people talk to me.
  • I get mad when there's a blanket on me.
  • I LOVE to eat.
  • I like to watch Peppa Pig and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
  • I am very chilled-out.
  • I am teething. (This is what my mommy says b/c I like to gnaw on my hands all of the time. It doesn't bother me any, really.)
  • I have eczema.
  • I am wearing 3-6 month clothes and some 6 month clothes.
  • I am in size 3 diapers.
  • I am eating 6 oz of formula.
  • I am sleeping well.
  • I love it when mommy sings to me.
  • I like to flirt with the ladies.
  • I love to sit in my swing.
  • I am holding my head up.
  • I absolutely hate tummy time, but I love sleeping on my tummy when mommy lets me, which is very rare.

I love his smile!

And his personality...he is a character.

Miller loves his big brother. Miles is becoming more and more fond of his little brother every day.

Miller enjoys looking at the world via Bumbo seat.

My little turkeys were full of smiles on Thanksgiving Day.

Here is a video of Miller putting his ab muscles to good use.
