We spent the 4th with our wonderful friends Todd and Julie. We went swimming at Todd's dad's pool in Jackson. Miles, of course, was all about the water.
Julie and I also enjoyed hanging out by the pool.
After pool time, we went out to Medina to hang out with some other great friends of ours, Shawn and Clarkie. We grilled out burgers and hot dogs. Miles had fun chasing around their three dogs as well as Uncle Trey.
Miles found the big dog water bowl pretty interesting. He never actually got in it, but he did get a little wet.
Trey and Miles had a good time in the yard.
He used to love for me to hold him, and now when I do we get this. He always wants down so he can go exploring!
Once dinner was over, we all went outside for a fireworks extravaganza. See...in Jackson, you can't shoot fireworks. However, in Medina, you can. Plus the city put on a huge firework show that wasn't far from Shawn and Clarkie's house. Any of you who know me very well, know my history with fireworks. Miles definitely doesn't have the same fear of them as I did as a kid. He loved every minute of the different shows we saw as the night went on.
He kept pointing at the sky, and saying "dat". In this picture he looks scared, but trust me, he wasn't.
The fourth of July festivities wore our little man out!! He fell asleep on the way home, and didn't get up when we got him out of the car and took him to bed. We are so very blessed to have such amazing people in our lives that we can share days like this one with.
